In the face of the COVID-19 virus, organizations large and small are shuttering offices and factories, requiring as much work as possible be done from peoples’ homes. The book draws on the insights of the author's earlier book, "Lessons from Mars", providing a set of the powerful tools and exercises developed within the Mars Corporation to create high performance teams. These tools have been adapted for teams suddenly forced to work apart, in many cases for the first time. These simple secrets and tested techniques have been used by thousands of teams who know that creating a foundation of team identity and shared meaning makes them resilient, even in a time of crisis.
The "Resilience Series" is the result of an intensive, collaborative effort of our authors in response to the 2020 coronavirus epidemic. Each volume offers expert advice for developing the practical, emotional and spiritual skills that you can master to become more resilient in a time of crisis. Carlos Valdes-Dapena (MFA, MSOD) is the founder of Corporate Collaboration Resources, LLC, an organization and group effectiveness consulting firm. He is a speaker and the author of the book "Lessons from Mars : How One Global Company Cracked the Code on High Performance Collaboration and Teamwork". Carlos developed his expertise in collaboration at the highest organization levels. For 17 years he was an internal consultant at Mars, Inc. and was involved with brands like M&Ms, Snickers, Uncle Bens Rice and Wrigley’s gum. Before Mars, he spent three years at IBM as an executive coach and consultant to the top 35 global leaders at IBM including a number of CEO Lou Gerstner’s direct reports. Carlos’s consulting career began in 1993 when he was hired by DDI, a global talent development consulting firm, as a leadership and performance management consultant. At DDI, his client list included AT&T, Pfizer, General Motors, Lockheed Martin. [Présentation par le site internet de l'éditeur, mai 2020] |
